I've been a big fan of the old adage never take criticism from someone you wouldn't take advice from. It has helped me tremendously in filtering out the signal from the noise on social media and in real life.

This current wave of AI-doomerism online made me realize it's time to add a second one: never take warnings of collapse from someone who can't explain what's holding it up.
